Water Saving tips

  • Instead of a running tap, fill your kitchen sink with water when washing dishes or raw food.
  • When washing the kitchen floor, use a mop and bucket instead of a hose.
  • Check your water bills to monitor your family’s monthly consumption. If your consumption is more than the average, review your family’s water usage habits.
  • Repair leaks and dripping taps immediately to prevent water wastage.

Water saving tips

Question 1) why is water important to us?

Water is important to us as we need it for daily uses, like drinking, bathing, watering, washing. If the world is deprived of water, humans die, animals die, plants can't survive.

-Rainwater harvesting.
-Do not flush unnecessarily.
-Promote water conservation in public to let people know too :).

Water Saving~ Part 3

30 minute showers

Running water while you wash your face or brush your teeth.

Running a washer or dishwasher that didn't have a full load.
Other ways to save water~

Fix leaky things like faucets and toilets.  About 20% of all toilets leak.  Toilets are the biggest user of water in the house. When you brush your teeth, turn off the water.  Turn it on only when rinsing.
Reasons why YOU should save water:
Conserving water can also extend the life of your septic system by reducing soil saturation, and reducing any pollution due to leaks. Overloading municipal sewer systems can also cause untreated sewage to flow to lakes and rivers. The smaller the amount of water flowing through these systems, the lower the likelihood of pollution. In some communities, costly sewage system expansion has been avoided by communitywide household water conservation.

Before & After

This is our before & after records , like we said in the previous post , Danish did not have cameras so he could not take pictures (every day) of his water meter when he recorded it .

Photos For Water Saving / Documentation

We did not have a camera , Danish did the recording but he could not send his photos over to his computer thus there are lesser pictures.

Ways To Save Water (PART II)

Ways To Save Water (PART II)

Another way to save water is to take a 5 to 10 minutes shower instead of an hour long bubble bath . Bubble baths would waste alot of water filling the bathtub while shower takes much lesser water as you use the water only when you need to .

Ways To Save Water (PART I)

Ways To Save Water (PART I)

A way to save water is if you're handwashing your clothes , the water that is used which are leftover. Do not think they are useless and dirty , in fact it can help you to save alot of money and water !

It can be re-used to use it to flush the toilet , instead of pressing the button on the toilet seat itself . It can save alot of water , as you do not have to keep pressing the button to flush the toilet instead you use used water to flush it .
